This electronic tester provides fast and accurate measurements of pH and chlorine (Cl2) levels, helping you keep your pool or Jacuzzi within safe ranges without chemicals or guesswork. Regular testing is important because unbalanced chlorine and pH can lead to diarrhea and ear and skin infections, while optimal levels keep harmful bacteria under control.
Maintaining the correct pH is crucial for protecting equipment and pool surfaces: too low pH causes chlorine to dissolve faster, while too high pH inactivates chlorine. Recommended chlorine level is 1.2 to 1.7 ppm, and recommended pH range is 5.5 to 9. The probe with handle is approximately 150 mm long, the loose probe is about 48 mm, and the loose cable is about 130 mm. Power is supplied by 1 x AA alkaline battery (not included).
