UPF 50 Plus Is the Main Attraction
The khaki hat folds into my daypack and comes back out when a hike leaves the trees for open sun. UPF 50+ coverage and the chin strap are the reasons it stays with my outdoor gear.

I chose navy blue for a week at the beach, where the mesh neck flap gave me coverage beyond an ordinary bucket hat. The adjustable strap kept it from heading down the sand whenever the wind picked up.
The green hat has been practical for gardening because the moisture-wicking fabric and airflow matter during long afternoons outside. When I finish, it folds flat enough to tuck into the side of my bag.
